James Pasakos is an Australian artist whose core works feature scenes of the Melbourne Docklands and its surrounding industrial sites. Pasakos in recent times has been able to explore new media and concepts to further his artistic journey.
His childhood was largely spent around the areas of the Docklands of Melbourne and these images are reflected within his work. Over the years James has had numerous solo & group exhibitions and has works in various collections throughout Australia. James’ methods at University were in Printmaking. Since then he has explored mixed media, new techniques and is continuing to develop new concepts to this day.
His works can be seen as surreal and atmospheric. They are often rich in colour and evoke a sense of mystery. They can be quite dark and with this brings a personal insight of the artist.
Current for 2018-19: IMPACT10 Santander-Spain, Editions 19, Scope 19, Locus-Distinct QGW, Marvellous Melbourne,
